- The Management Center of the Municipal Infrastructure Development Project in the Republic of Tajikistan, acting on behalf of SUE “Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali”, which is the Project Implementing Agency, has received financing from the World Bank for the cost of the Water Supply and Sanitation Investment Project, Grant E 0950-TJ and intends to apply part of the proceeds to make payments under the Distribution Network Construction Contract in Zone 2D of Balkhi District, (Lots 1 and 2).
- The Municipal Infrastructure Project Management Center in Republic Tajikistan hereby invites sealed Bids for the Construction of the trunk pipeline from PK125+30 to PK256+00 in the Balkhi area (13.07 km). The construction period of the facility is estimated at 16 months. The testing and commissioning will done simultaneously with that of the first section from PK0+00 to PK125+30. defects notification period is 12 months.
- Interested bidders are required to demonstrate experience with large diameter polyethylene and metal water piping from 600mm and above, covering the supply, installation, commissioning and all aspects of pipe handling, including welding, connection, laying and pressure testing in accordance with international and local regulations. Bidders must have certified welders with valid butt and electrofusion welding qualifications and demonstrate expertise in polyethylene, PVC and metal pipe welding technology, including welding parameters, quality control, and safety measures. In addition, bidders must have access to or ownership of specialized equipment required to install polyethylene and metal pipes, such as butt or electrofusion welding machines, pipe cutting and alignment tools, hydrostatic testing equipment, and earthmoving equipment.
- Bidding will be conducted through a national competitive bidding process using a Request for Bids (RFB) as set forth in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for FIP Borrowers” September 2020 (the “Procurement Regulations”), and will be open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain additional information from the Director of the Management Center of the Municipal Infrastructure Development Project in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Saidvalizoda A. at the pmu@wsip-1.tj email address and inspect the bidding documents during working hours from 09:00 to 17:00 at the address below Bidding upon submission of a written application to the address below free of charge.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below no later than 16:00 local time, July 30, 2025. Electronic bids are not permitted. Bids submitted after the deadline and time for submission will be rejected. Bids will be opened publicly in the presence of the designated representatives of the Bidders and all those who wish to attend, at the address indicated in paragraph 7 below, July 30, 2025. 16:00 local time.
