Training seminar in Kushanian district of Khatlon region.
Improving the potential and professional skills of employees of the SSE «Water supply of the group of districts of the Bokhtar region of Khatlon province» under this title, on July 19, 2024, a seminar was held in Kushoniyon district of the Khatlon province, specifically dedicated to the employees of the SSE “drinking water supply and sanitation”.
The seminar was attended by 7 employees of the SSE “Water Supply of the Group of Districts of Bokhtar region” of Khatlon province and 4 chairmen of the rural community coordination committees “Zargar”, “Navbahor”, “Bokhtariyon” and “Sarvati Istiklal”. Also, the representatives of the “Project Management Unit for municipal (communal) infostructure development projects in Tajikistan” J. Kurbanov, Z. Kurbonova, Sh. Safarzoda, representative of research and consulting company “M-Vektor”, project manager D. Achilova, field specialists and engineers participated.
There was an exchange of views among the participants of the seminar, educational and explanatory work were held on aspects of water supply system maintenance, correct adjustment of water meters, connecting customers to the system, disinfection of drinking water and timely collection of fees for used water.
Basically, the questions asked by the participants concerned where the water pipes run, how many villages under the project will be provided with drinking water, etc. questions related to the progress of the project, and the participants received specific answers to their questions from the responsible persons.
The continuation of the seminar, which took place on July 25, 2024 with the participation of responsible persons and employees of the SSE “water supply and Sanitation”, was devoted to the topic “rational use of water in farms and maintaining its safety”, which is one of the relevant and main issues.
Detailed information was also provided on the progress of the “Rural water supply and sanitation”, project implemented by “Project Management Unit for municipal (communal) infostructure development projects in Tajikistan”.
30 people took part in seminar, including 7 women.
The deputy chairman of the Kushoniyon district for Industry, Energy and Utilities, Qakhhorzoda Nurmukhammad Ghulom, took part and spoke in seminar.
He considered the work planned for the project to be a good deed and a factor in improving the level and quality of life of the residents of the district, and expressed gratitude to the government of the country, the World Bank and the staff of the “Project Management Unit for municipal (communal) infostructure development projects in Tajikistan”.
During the seminar, Zulfiya Kurbonova, a consultant on mobilization and public relations of the “Project Management Unit for municipal (communal) infostructure development projects in Tajikistan”, made a presentation on gender issues and suggested to provide more jobs for lonely and low-income women.
The participants of the seminar asked the audience questions about the progress of the work carried out on the project, and the responsible persons gave specific answers to the questions.
At the end, the participants were awarded with a certificate.
