Fourth meeting of the Advisory Council of the “Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project”
As part of the implementation of the “Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project”, on December 20 of this year, the fourth meeting of the Advisory Council of Project Stakeholders was held at the local level in the Vose district of Khatlon region. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executive authorities of the Khatlon region, the first deputy general director of the SUE “Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali”, the first deputy chairman of the Vose district, representatives of the executive authorities of the target areas of the Project, water supply and sanitation enterprises, representatives of the education and health departments, director and staff of the Project Management Unit Local (Communal) Infrastructure Development Project in the Republic of Tajikistan and other guests.
The purpose of the Meeting was to present the status of the project implementation, discuss issues requiring coordination and assistance from stakeholders at all stages (design work, construction, community mobilization, social and environmental aspects) of the Project implementation, consider proposals and recommendations for maximizing the results of the project activities by strengthening coordination mechanisms and exchange of experience between similar initiatives.
During the implementation of Project activities in 2019, an Advisory Council was formed, consisting of members of relevant ministries and departments and other stakeholders of the Project, which operates at the national and local levels. The purpose of forming the Council is the participation of interested parties in all processes of the Project, including: design, construction, community mobilization, environmental and social works.
