In the selected target communities, 28 schools will be covered in Vose district. Before and after the construction of the water facility, activities on the health of adolescents, especially girls, will be held among teachers and students.
The “Healthy Lifestyle” Center is the main partner of the “Rural Water Supply and Sanitation” Project to implement activities on sanitation and hygiene, including aspects of menstrual hygiene among teenage girls, parents and school teachers. Menstrual hygiene is an integral part of the menstrual cycle, which depends on the health of girls and women. For this purpose, in 2022, the project organized training for 20 facilitators of rural medical centers, all of whom were women. 500 girls of grades 5-9 participated in the meetings. The leaders of the medical centers gave them information on the topic of menstruation and hygiene and the problems that girls face during this period.
